![]() ![]() I want to use Thunderbird but I DO NOT see a way to import "Windows Mail" files. Six months ago when I got my Vaio with Vista I imported all of my former Outlook Express 6.0 email messages (.DBX files) and Address Book (WAB file) successfully into Windows Vista's "Windows Mail" and have been using this for six months. (Sony does not provide XP for this particular 17" notebook, otherwise I would have stuck with XP's simple and clean Outlook Express, but it have been replaced with the lame "Windows Mail" in Vista.) Restore the Thunderbird profile on your PC. Repeat steps 3-5 as necessary for any other. You can use Tools -> Import to also import the settings and address books. Sony Vaio notebook w/ Windows Vista Ultimate Import the messages using Tools -> Import -> Mail. My Current Hardware and Software Configuration: In Vista's "Windows Mail" I only see mail export options as "Microsoft Exchange" and "Microsoft Windows Mail." ![]() I only see import options for Communicator 4.x, Eudora, Outlook and Outlook Express. I just downloaded and installed the latest version of Thunderbird and I DO NOT see a way to import "Windows Mail" files. ![]() Q: Is it possible to import my Windows Vista "Windows Mail" email messages and "Contacts" INTO Thunderbird? ![]()
